This recipe, which my mother gave me, doesn't utilize artificial coloring, so you can obtain the brilliant red typically found in sweet-and-sour meals without sacrificing quality

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a wok with the oil already hot, add the garlic and stir-fry for about 10 seconds, or until it turns golden brown

  2. Add the red and green peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, onion, and pineapple and then, whisk in the tomato ketchup

  3. Add the rice vinegar, Chinese wine, soy sauce, and sugar, and then stir to thoroughly combine well

  4. Stir-fry the tofu for 30 seconds, then top with spring onions to serve.
