Chef Seng Luangrath is the owner and head chef of Thip Khao, a Lao restaurant in Columbia Heights and the hub of the #LaoFoodMovement. According to Michelin Bib Gourmand 2018, Thip Khao is among the top 50 new restaurants in the US according to Bon Appetit Magazine.
Chef Seng has only pursued her greatest passion, cooking, from 2009 when she was 40 years old. In 2010 before opening Thip Khao, she gained control of Padaek, formerly known as Bangkok Golden in Fort Washington, Maryland where she enchanted diners with the flavors of her native Laos and classic Thai dishes.
