The restaurant chains Rosa's Thai Cafe and Lao Cafe are co-owned and run by Saiphin Moore, a Thai British chef and author, and her husband, Alex Moore.
Saiphin was born and raised in northern Thailand and later established her food empire in Jersey and Hong Kong. In 2006, she relocated to London, where she founded Rosa's Thai, a small chain of Thai eateries. She also runs a Laotian restaurant in Covent Garden that serves food with influences from Luang Prabang, a city in Laos where her family is from. Rosa's Thai Café and Rosa's Thai Café: The Vegetarian Cookbook are two cookbooks written by Saiphin.
