Kris Yenbamroong is the proprietor and head chef of Night + Market, a well-known Thai restaurant in Los Angeles. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jonathan Gold recently ranked NIGHT+MARKET as the 17th greatest restaurant in Los Angeles (out of a total of 101 restaurants) for the Los Angeles Times. The youngest person to place in the top 20 is Yenbamroong. Yenbamroong received back-to-back James Beard Foundation nominations for the semifinal round in the Rising Star Chef category during the first two years of NIGHT+MARKET. He was nominated Chef of the Year by Los Angeles Magazine in September 2012.
